This company is owned and managed by sole proprietor Raymond K. Madore.
We thought you would like to know a little more about him.
| Ray hails from Massachusetts.
Immediately following his graduation from
high school, Mr. Madore enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent his
first 2 year tour of duty in England, where he was stationed at RAF Station
Wethersfield, in Essex. Ray then volunteered to go to Vietnam where he
became a Communications Specialist. He received the Air Force Commendation
Medal and an Honorable Discharge.

Upon returning home to the U.S., Ray was contacted by the U.S. State
Department. He was recruited as a Communications Officer with the
Diplomatic Corps and was posted to Nairobi, Kenya. Following a 2-year
posting at the American Embassy, he was reassigned to Bangkok, Thailand.
While serving in Bangkok, he was again assigned to Vietnam (for temporary duty)
to open the Consulate General in Biên Ḥa.
After leaving the State Dept., Ray returned to the U.S. and was employed by Trans
World Airlines to work in passenger relations at Boston's Logan International
Airport. He later transferred from Boston to TWA's Kansas City
Administration Center where he served as an Automation Support Coordinator for
the Computer Operations division of the airline. In this role he
assisted travel industry professionals with software and hardware concerns
regarding TWA's advanced reservations system, PARS (now known as Worldspan,)
which was, at the time, one of the most advanced computer systems in the world.
The Kansas City position earned Ray a promotion to the position of Senior
Customer Relations Representative for the President of TWA, in Manhattan.
After serving a year in New York, he was selected for a position in Seattle as
TWA's Regional Sales Manager for the Pacific Northwest. He fell in love
with Washington State and made the Seattle area his permanent home. Several years later, TWA
started experiencing financial distress in the newly deregulated environment and offered
middle management personnel an early retirement.
Ray left TWA and secured a position with SpaceLabs Medical, Inc.
where he directed and managed the extensive corporate travel services and
vehicle fleets for the company. During
this time, Ray received his Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE) certification and
credentials. Sadly, SpaceLabs Medical also experienced financial
difficulties due to an economic downturn and eventually eliminated the position.
Shortly after the loss of that position, Ray permanently retired and focused on
his love for animals and service to others. He now operates his pet,
house, and concierge services, kindheartedly serving pets and their owners
across Seattle and the East Side. In 1992 Ray contacted the King
County Big Brother's Association, was approved for the Big Brother's program,
and met his young charge; a moment in time that began what became years of
friendship and mentoring and growth for both Ray and a fine young boy; and
established a long-time acquaintance with the boy's mother. That young boy
has since grown up, and gone on to proudly serve his country, and they remain
close today. Ray is extremely proud of that young man, and cherishes
his years with these fine people.
Ray is also known well by friends and
associates as an exceptional cook, a lover of both classical and jazz music, an
extensive world traveler, and a true gentleman.
